Oh yeah.  Look at me, crossing stuff off that list left and right.

Okay, not so much.   But who cares?  I knit a sweater!  I can hardly believe it.

I love how this turned out.  I also knit a little hat to match last night.  I can’t WAIT to give this gift!

And you wanna know a secret?

It  makes me want another babe.   But I can’t tell my husband that because he would put the kibosh on that idea in a second.   The little dream crusher. ;)

Surprise!

Loving this one.  It was — you guessed it — a surprise custom!  She picked the fabrics and add-ons and I did the rest.  Hope you love it, T!

Pay It Forward.

Just wanted to share what’s happening at Universal Mama tonight at 10pm est! All of the artisans have gathered together to do a pay-it-forward stocking.

We will be giving away a chance to win a $100 shopping spree for use at the store with any of our artisans.   The only catch is that you give $50 of the spree to a friend!  Win Win!

I have also teamed up with my good friend, Andrea, from Dwell Wool Knits to do a free giveaway too.   This set includes a newborn/small pair of wool longies and matching tee, perfect for the Holiday season.  Enter tonight HERE! (I have to mention though, that to enter you must register at Hyenacart. It’s easy peasy though!)

These two tees will also be available for purchase from Cake. tonight.

Thank you and be inspired to pay-it-forward in your own way!

xo,

Lindsey

Halloween Fun.

Aren’t they cute?

Hope you had a Happy Halloween full of candy, I know we did!

Halloween 2009 (3)

Only the sleeves to go!   My cousin is having her first baby this winter, and I figured a little hand-knit goodness was in order.   I am using the Sweet Mama ~ Small Sugar Kimono pattern and it is such a lovely thing to knit.  Very well written.

Hope the weekend is treating you right!

Lindsey.

For a blustery day.

It’s finally starting to get chilly in Ga.   I’m glad I cast this on when I did because the drop in temp. was sudden.  My baby has become a big girl and nothing makes that more evident then last year’s Fall clothing!

Makes you wanna be my friend, huh? It was yummy. You should make one!

My only modification was to use Cinnamon Graham Crackers for the crust.  Much better, in my opinion then when I last used gingersnaps.

What’s this all about?

Well, I’ve been going through some struggles with my health recently  and it’s made me reevaluate what I’m accomplishing in life.

I know, I know.  Cliche.

But seriously, am I actually LIVING or just going through the motions?   I’ve been following Maggie Mason’s Life List and it’s really inspiring. (Go check it out–She’s done some cool stuff in the last few months!)

I want to actually live out my dreams, so that ’s just what I’m going to do!  This list is not all about the  long-term.  There are silly goals, big goals and short-term ones too.  I want to be able to cross things off on a regular basis and add to the list as I feel inspired.  An evolving Life List, if you will.

Feels pretty darn good to put all the things I’d like to do down on paper.  Really frees up the brain space. Ha!   You should try one too and link back, I’d love to read it!

A new quilt beginning.

Just wanted to share the first full block of a quilt I’ve started.   I’ve long admired the ‘Kalidescope’ quilt (a string quilt)  by Film in the Fridge.   She has a great tutorial on how to make one, so I decided to jump right in.

I would love to actually get to use it this winter since cold weather is FINALLY upon us, but we shall see if I can finish it fast enough.   This is a time consuming process but the results I find absolutely stunning!

Wish me luck!
